Qualifications

  • Strong Python development and debugging skills, Linux/Windows environments, and software configuration management.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, operate, and maintain integration and test software for space payloads.

  • Conduct peer reviews of software and technical documents for quality.
  • Work through the full software development life cycle including testing and integration.

In this role, you will learn new technologies and develop software for space payloads. The position involves designing, developing, integrating, and testing software that manages test equipment and executes tests for a space payload unit, ensuring compliance with established requirements. This position will serve on-site at the Linthicum, MD facility.Key Responsibilities* Design, develop, operate, and maintain integration and test software.* Participate in cross-functional scrum teams, design reviews, and other technical reviews.* Conduct peer reviews of software-related products, software designs, and additional technical documents.* Work through all phases of the software development life cycle, including design, development, integration, and test.* Utilize automated tools such as Jenkins and Robot Framework to enable automated testing and verification.* Prioritize and make recommendations to Technical Leads as required to implement assigned tasking.Required Qualifications**Education:** A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or another STEM discipline.**Experience:** A minimum of 8 years of software development experience working on embedded real-time systems, or 6 years with a Master's Degree, or 3 years with a PhD.**Technical Skills:*** Experience developing software in Python.* Ability to debug your own code, trace, and understand existing code.* Experience integrating developed software applications, using tools and logs to examine data and identify problem areas.* Experience developing in a Linux and/or Windows environment.* Experience in testing software systems and debugging.* Experience with using software configuration management tools.* U.S. Citizenship is required.* No clearance required to start, but must be able to obtain a TS/SCIPreferred Qualifications* Active TS/SCI* Experience as a member of an Agile Scrum team.* Experience with C++.* Experience developing TCL T/K.* Hands-on experience in controlling test equipment through software (e.g., Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Power Supplies).* Hands-on experience integrating RF, digital, or optic based systems/equipment.* Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins and Robot Framework.* Experience in embedded Python software optimizations.* Ability to debug complex integrated applications or test setup issues.* Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket). *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
