Job summary

Evonik Group is seeking an Instrument/Electrical (I/E) technician to perform basic and mid-level I/E craft tasks within an industrial plant. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate electrical equipment, instrumentation and analytical systems, while adhering to safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (associate degree preferred) and 2+ years of experience, with knowledge of DeltaV/RS3, SAP, and related tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Min of 2 years’ experience.
• Sound knowledge in E&I and Process Controls.
• Familiar with Temperature, Pressure, and flow instrumentation.
• Proficient in programming and troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply Industrial Safety requirements for the Instrument and Electrical crafts.
• Use common tools of the Instrument/Electrical crafts and electrical/electronic test equipment.
• Work on Instrumentation Calibration, Pneumatic Control Valves, and Process Control Loops.
• Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment, instrumentation, and analytical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical codes, manuals, procedures, schematic diagrams, and blueprints.
• Properly document all repair activities and actively seek continuous improvement opportunities.
• Continuously acquire basic knowledge of processes involved in the production units.
• Promote safe and effective work, document work in SAP CMMS, and train and mentor others on precision maintenance principles.
