Job summary

Expand Energy Corporation in Wheeling, WV seeks an intermediate level Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to install, maintain, and repair plant instrumentation and electrical equipment to maximize well production and minimize safety risks.

Under general supervision, you will read network diagrams, perform preventive maintenance, and propose field solutions while adhering to HSER guidelines and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years related experience, or equivalent substitution for education of 6–9 years.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work in a hot, humid, noisy production area.
• Willingness to be on call.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair plant instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret network diagrams and blueprints.
• Perform preventive maintenance and recommend field solutions for instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Respond to and resolve emergency calls.
• Follow HSER guidelines in all tasks.

Job Summary

This intermediate level position installs, maintains, and repairs plant instrumentation and electrical equipment, under general supervision in order to maximize well production and end-user time, while reducing environmental hazards, safety risks and costs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs basic maintenance tasks involving instrumentation and electrical equipment
• Responsible for new installations, preventative maintenance and recommend field solutions for instrumentation and electrical equipment
• Reads and interprets network diagrams, plans, blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams, gauges, and other instruments
• Works with hand tools and test instruments
• Responds to and resolves emergency calls
• Performs all work in accordance with Expand's HSER Guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Specific Skills

• Knowledgeable in Flow Computer principles and concepts
• Knowledge of low-voltage electronics, electricity and basic oil and gas principles
• Knowledge of safety/environmental requirements and practices
• Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions
• Ability to work in a hot, humid, noisy, & high volume machine production area
• Ability to be on call

Education & Experience

Minimum: High school diploma or GED and 2 years related work experience or an equivalent substitution for education of 6 - 9 years related work experience

Additional Qualifications

Ability to possess a valid drivers license
