Job summary

Evonik Corporation is seeking an Instrument/Electrical technician to perform basic to mid-level craft tasks within an industrial plant. The role includes training, mentoring, and ensuring safety standards across instrumentation, electrical, and analytical equipment in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), at least 2 years of relevant experience, and knowledge of E&I, process controls, and instrumentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Instrument/Electrical crafts.
• Knowledge of E&I and Process Controls.
• Familiar with Temperature, Pressure, and flow instrumentation.
• Proficient in programming/troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives.
• Experience with DeltaV and RS3 is a plus.
• Proficient with SAP and standard software.
• Able to operate basic E&I test equipment and related software.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply Industrial Safety requirements for Instrument and Electrical crafts.
• Use common tools of Instrument/Electrical crafts and electrical/test equipment.
• Work on Instrumentation calibration, pneumatic control valves, and process control loops.
• Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment, instrumentation, and analytical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical codes, manuals, procedures, schematics, and blueprints.
• Document all repair activities and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
• Continuously acquire basic knowledge of processes in production units.
• Promote safe and effective work, document work in SAP CMMS, and mentor others on maintenance principles.
