Job summary

Clean Harbors is searching for a reliable and safety oriented I&E Technician with an excellent mechanical aptitude to join our Rollinsford, NH team!

The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and PLC Logic programming, along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments with various tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6+ years electrical experience preferred.
• 3+ years instrumentation preferred.
• PLC troubleshooting experience.
• VFD troubleshooting and programming experience preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics and P&ID’s.
• Knowledge of Data Control Systems (DCS).
• Experience with 480v and below.
• Willing to jump in and assist maintenance and other teams when needed.
• Exposure to multi-disciplinary maintenance tasks preferred.
• Mechanically inclined is an asset.
• Lift up 50lb, work at heights, in confined/tight spaces, bend and stand long.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions.
• Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations.
• Maintains accurate records and logs as required.
• Installs new system controls (including power wiring).
• Installs cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers.
• Services and replaces motors and lighting.
• Performs general electrical maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
