Job summary

Peak Rentals is seeking an Automation Technician to setup, adjust, and operate electrical and mechanical automation devices on site. The role reports to the Operations Manager within the Rentals unit and requires travel.

The ideal candidate has a related degree or certification and roughly one year of oil and gas/industrial experience. A valid driver’s license is required to operate company vehicles.

Qualifications

• Preferred degree or certification in a related field.
• 1 year of oil and gas/industrial experience (or related).
• Some electrical or water transfer experience a plus.
• Willingness to grow and develop with the position as it evolves.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle.
• Ability to work independently and establish priorities; complete competing assignments.

Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs various automation equipment, including level, pressure, flow and communication devices.
• Ensures high quality and adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Provides on-site and phone training to field personnel for new processes and technologies.
• Compiles and generates reports.
• Drives trucks to transport equipment and perform job tasks.

Job Description

Peak's Automation Technician sets up, adjusts, and operates electrical and mechanical automation devices and systems.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to

• Installs and repairs various automation equipment, including but no limited to, level, pressure, flow and communication devices.
• Ensures high quality and adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Provides training on-site and over the phone to field personnel for new processes and technologies.
• Compiles and generates reports.

Compensation Information

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Physical Demands and Exposures

• Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
• Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection.
• Prolonged sitting, standing, walking.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to individually lift: Maximum 50 lbs.
