Calca Solutions in Lake Charles, LA is seeking an Instrument and Electrical Technician to maintain reliability of electrical and instrumentation systems. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair equipment to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing malfunctions, inspections, safety compliance, and documentation. Training and teamwork are emphasized in a collaborative environment.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school/technical degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as Instrument and Electrical Technician.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems incl. PLCs, DCS, and control systems.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and P&IDs.

Overview

As an Instrument and Electrical Technician at Calca Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our electrical and instrumentation systems. Your responsibilities will include performing maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and making repairs to keep our operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems
• Diagnose and repair electrical and instrumentation malfunctions promptly and efficiently

Education & Experience

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical degree is a plus
• Proven experience as an Instrument and Electrical Technician
• Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, DCS, and control systems
• Proficiency in using electrical and instrumentation tools and equipment
• Must be knowledgeable in MS Word and Excel
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols
