Job summary

Air Liquide Ingleside, TX is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair plant instrumentation, electrical distribution equipment, process gas analyzers, and control systems at the ASU facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on instrumentation and electrical systems, including PLCs, sensors, transmitters, motors, and control panels.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and instrumentation issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Implement and adhere to established quality management procedures and standards for all maintenance and repair activities.
• Participate in asset management activities, including tracking equipment performance and maintaining records.
• Identify risks associated with equipment operation and implement mitigation strategies for a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other departments to ensure integration of I&E systems.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs to facilitate troubleshooting and maintenance.

• Proven experience in industrial instrumentation and electrical maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Demonstrated understanding of Asset Management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with Quality Management systems and their application in an industrial setting.
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with I&E equipment and operations.
• Knowledge of Organizational Behavior principles to foster effective teamwork and communication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant technical certifications or associate’s degree in instrumentation, electrical technology, or a related field preferred.
