Job summary

Air Liquide USA LLC in Ingleside, TX is hiring an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair plant instrumentation, electrical distribution, process gas analyzers, and control systems at the ASU.

You will work to ensure safe, reliable cryogenic operations while optimizing process efficiency and product purity, collaborating with engineering and operations, and following quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial instrumentation and electrical maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose complex issues.
• Familiarity with Asset Management principles and practices.
• Knowledge of Quality Management systems in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs.

Air Liquide is seeking a qualified Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician to join our team at the Air Separation Unit (ASU) plant. The I&E Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing all plant instrumentation, electrical distribution equipment, process gas analyzers, and control systems. This role is vital to maintaining safe, reliable, and continuous cryogenic operations while optimizing process efficiency and product purity.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a wide range of instrumentation and electrical systems, including PLCs, sensors, transmitters, motors, and control panels.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and instrumentation issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Implement and adhere to established quality management procedures and standards for all maintenance and repair activities.
• Participate in asset management activities, including tracking equipment performance, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to equipment lifecycle planning.
• Identify potential risks associated with equipment operation and maintenance, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of I&E systems and support overall plant objectives.
• Contribute to a positive and productive work environment by applying principles of organizational behavior and effective teamwork.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs to facilitate troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.

Job Qualifications
