Job summary

Danos, LLC is seeking an Automation-I&E technician to support Southeast New Mexico oil and gas operations. You will install, troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, transmitters, HMIs and SCADA systems as part of a collaborative team.

You must be safety-minded, capable of working in extreme outdoor temperatures, and willing to participate in a call-out rotation including nights, weekends and holidays. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Install, troubleshoot and repair PLCs and transmitters as part of automation systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and components accurately.
• Knowledge of communication equipment such as Freewave, XetaWave, RedLion, ABB, Cambium and fiber optics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Willing to learn and take direction from experienced personnel.
• Understand oil & gas production equipment and operations.
• Able to obtain fall protection certification for heights.
• Able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures.
• Contractors will participate in a call-out rotation (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Must be able to work late as needed.
• Willingness to learn and follow directions from Automation-I&E personnel.
• Meet conditional job offer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and install Automation-I&E equipment (PLCs, transmitters, communications, HMIs).

Overview

This position provides Automation-I&E support to South East New Mexico Oil and Gas Operations.

• Work as a team to maintain and install Automation-I&E equipment such as PLC components, Wired and wireless transmitters, Communications equipment, HMI’s, etc.
• Safety conscious, Team oriented, Self-starter, works well with minimal supervision
• Responsible for engaging in and promoting a strong safety culture.
• Use SCADA systems to monitor operation.
• Perform Lock-Out/Tag-Out process on required equipment.
• Other operations duties as assigned.

• Must be able to get certified to work at heights using appropriate fall protection.
• Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures.
• Once adequately trained, Contractors will be expected to work a call out rotation. ( Nights, Weekends, Holidays )
