Job summary

Ergon, Inc. in the United States seeks an I&E Technician in Vicksburg, MS. The role includes a base pay of $35-$49 per hour with a $5 travel premium when outside the shop, and a 40-hour week.

You'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and commission electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems across a wide network, supporting safety and efficiency. Overtime opportunities may exceed 300 hours annually.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in instrumentation and control in oil/gas, chemical, or process industries.
• Hands-on with smart field devices (Emerson/Rosemount, Micro Motion, VEGA, Endress+Hauser).
• Able to read drawings and P&IDs.
• Experience with 4–20 mA, HART, Modbus and related protocols.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems.
• Configure instruments for level, flow, pressure, and temperature.
• Perform loop checks and calibrations of field devices.
• Interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies to minimize downtime.
• Oversee SAP/MaintainX work orders and documentation.
