EN-FAB, Inc. seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation Project Engineer for oil and gas equipment design and manufacturing.
The role focuses on installing electrical equipment and instruments on skid assemblies, wiring the skid, and implementing control panels in alignment with NEC, IEC, and CSA standards. Responsibilities include developing engineering documents, coordinating with clients and subcontractors, and ensuring all designs meet applicable codes while supporting project cost estimates.
Installation of electrical equipment and instruments on the skid as well as control panels. Skid electrical wiring as well as other electrical installations.
Ability to use a wide variety of specific industry instrumentation that records, indicates and controls the regulation of flow, pressure, temperature and position of utility systems.
Knowledge of the NEC, IEC, CSA, power distribution up to 480V, motor control center & variable speed drives.
Drawings & Documents: loop diagrams, l&E arrangement, heat trace isometrics, wiring diagrams, single line diagrams, control and motor schematics, instrument & equipment datasheet, cable schedule, 1/0 lists, power & utility schedule, load lists, cause & effect diagram etc.
Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans - conferring with management.
Prepares l&E equipment technical specifications and equipment RFQs to request budgetary or firm pricing to support estimating or project department.
Contributes to the development of client proposal and project cost estimates.
Actively participates in the project kick of meeting to develop the Basic Engineering Design Document for each project.
Assures all l&E engineering design meet applicable codes and standards including company & customer standards.
Coordinates with clients, vendors and subcontractors as required.
Communicates and interfaces openly and frequently with project managers, project engineers and other managers of discipline engineers. Participates in periodic project reviews and client discussions, as required, to ensure client satisfaction.
Skills in both written and spoken communication to support customers, teammates, and external users with a wide range of skill levels. Preparing, reading, analyzing, and interpreting documents.
