Advantage Technical is seeking an experienced I&E Designer / SPI Lead to support refinery design projects and manage SPI databases. The role focuses on migrating systems to SPI and leading SPI migration initiatives, with field walkdowns and safe operations in refinery environments.

You will create and revise I&E drawings, develop design packages for construction, and train junior designers, while tracking progress across migration efforts and coordinating with project teams.

Formación

• Experience in Instrument & Electrical Design.
• In-depth knowledge of I&E standards, methods, and practices.
• Strong working knowledge of SPI and SPI migration.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or equivalent design software.
• Field walkdowns and safe work in office and refinery environments.
• AAS in Drafting/Design or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

THIS IS A LONG-TERM (1+ YEAR ASSIGNMENT)

We are seeking an experienced I&E Designer / SPI Lead to support refinery design projects, manage SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) databases, and lead SPI migration initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced I&E design professional with strong SPI expertise and a background in refining, petrochemical, or similar industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and revise Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) drawings throughout the design and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
• Develop I&E design packages for construction.
• Provide design support throughout all phases of projects.
• Track and report progress on current and upcoming SPI migration projects.
• Manage the SPI database across all refinery units.
• Oversee and train less experienced designers and drafters in SPI.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in Instrument & Electrical Design.
• In-depth knowledge of I&E standards, methods, and practices.
• Strong working knowledge of SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), including experience migrating entire systems to SPI.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or equivalent design software.
• Ability to perform field walkdowns and work safely in both office and refinery environments.
• AAS in Drafting/Design or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
