Job summary

Fives DyAG Corp. in Texas is seeking a highly experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Designer with 10+ years of AutoCAD 2D, INtools and SPI expertise to support oil & gas, refinery, chemicals and related industries.

You will develop I&E deliverables, coordinate with site operations, technicians and project teams, and interface with client design teams (including India) for scope discussions and design reviews.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Instrumentation and Electrical Design.
• Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA, API standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SPI.
• EPC/EPCm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop I&E deliverables using AutoCAD and SPI.
• Coordinate with site operations, technicians and project teams.
• Interface with client design team in India for scope and design reviews.
• Work with vendors to update drawings.
• Perform quality review and validation of final deliverables.
• Ensure site safety protocols are followed.

Job Description:

• Instrumentation & Electrical Designer with 10+ years of experience of AutoCAD 2D Design, INTools and SPI in compliance with API Standards codes and NFPA standards in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemicals & other associated industries.

Skill Requirement:

• Instrumentation and Electrical Designer experienced 2D drafting, SPI and INTools experience.
• Knowledge of Field Instrumentation, Loop Drawings, Instrumentation Layout drawings, Hook-up Drawings, JB Drawings and Control room FTA is highly desirable.
• Experience in Electrical design specially in low voltage (below 480V) is preferred. Experience in developing Area Classification drawing, One line diagram, Earthing/ Grounding Layout, Power drawings layout.
• Responsible for working directly with site operations, technicians, and project teams to develop scope of work for the client.
• Communicate with site project engineer, site document controller, operations and the client team for project requirements.
• Develop detailed design drawings for I&E deliverables using AutoCAD and SPI.
• Interface with the client design team in India to coordinate about for project scope discussions and Design Review discussions.
• Work with vendors for any vendor specific items and update the relevant I/E drawings.
• Quality Review and Validation of final deliverables before submission to client.
• Ensure site safety and health protocols are followed.
• Interface and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to meet project design requirements and effectively manage the internal flow of data and design changes.

Minimum proficiencies and qualifications:

• Diploma / Certificate in Instrumentation and Electrical Design is required.
• Strong working knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation design codes including NEC/ NFPA, API standards.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and SPI software.
• EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) / EPCm experience is preferred.
