I&E Analyzer Technician

Job Summary
Analyzer Technicians apply expertise daily to ensure the safe and reliable operation of site process plants and reduce operating costs.
Responsibilities
- Commit to learning, following and practicing INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioral Safety and INEOS Life‑Saving rules.
- Ensure the permitting process creates a safe work environment through proper risk assessments.
- Participate as needed in incident investigations, Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis/LOPA.
- Support integrity management by completing assigned Preventative Maintenance and ensuring proper follow‑through on reliability concerns.
- Provide technical expertise to assist supervision and operations in troubleshooting, configuration, teardown, and rebuilding of process analyzers such as chromatographs and regulatory analyzers; record data associated with periodic testing.
- Review assigned job scopes for completeness and understanding.
- Acquire all necessary parts, tools, and instructions prior to starting the job to maximize work efficiency.
- Follow all necessary safety procedures and practices to isolate, clear, and work on plant equipment.
- Ensure work is completed per company and industry standards.
- Work with equipment owner to complete tasks in a safe and timely manner.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years maintenance experience working with industrial process analyzers in the petrochemical or refining industry.
- Associate’s Degree in an applicable field or Analyzer Certificate (preferred).
- Ability to diagnose the cause of malfunction or failure of process analyzers and perform necessary preventive or corrective maintenance.
- Ability to read P&ID’s, Spec sheets and loop sheets.
- Experience with equipment such as Siemens Maxum‑II GC, Applied Automation GC, Horiba CEMS analyzers, safe gas cylinder handling for CEMS and carrier gas systems, O₂, pH meters, and unit gas detectors.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office computer programs (preferred).
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions.
