We are hiring an Analyzer Technician to support the operation of site process plants and reduce operating costs through expert analyzer maintenance and improvement initiatives.

Overview

The Olefins & Polymers USA division of INEOS USA LLC ranks among North America’s largest producers of olefins and polyolefins. Within this division, the Pipeline Supply Organization (PSO) manages the Stratton Ridge Salt Dome Storage Facility, the Hobbs Fractionation Complex, and over 500 miles of pipelines in Southern Texas. The Analyzer Technician plays a key role in keeping these facilities safe, reliable, and efficient.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Accountability 1: SHE Stewardship
    • Visibly support and promote INEOS 20 Principles.
    • Perform all activities in accordance with company, local, state, federal, and health‑safety regulations.
    • Promote a safe work environment for contractors and other personnel.
    • Verify understanding of the work scope and identify potential safety hazards.
  • Accountability 2: General Duties
    • Calibrate a wide variety of analyzers using appropriate test equipment and standards.
    • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and adjust petrochemical critical analyzers, pH meters, O₂ meters, gas chromatography systems, infrared and ultraviolet detection technology, conductivity analyzers, online spectrometers, emissions monitoring, gasoline vapor pressure measurements, flares, water discharge systems, and other environmentally required equipment.
    • Perform troubleshooting, programming changes on analyzer control software and data highway loops.
    • Execute analyzer system modifications, overhauls, and pipefitting/blending work.
    • Work with vendors to troubleshoot equipment and procure repair parts.
    • Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
    • Operate, troubleshoot, and repair tubing systems, regulators, filters, vaporizers, etc.
    • Use PCs to interface, program analyzers, plot trends, develop spreadsheets, and maintain calibration records.
    • Maintain housekeeping in area of responsibility.
    • Follow safe work practices and stay aware of plant procedures and rules.
Skills & Knowledge
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent with five (5) years of full‑time instrumentation/analyzer experience in petrochemical, refinery, pulp/paper or related industry, plus completion of the ISA Instrument Technician Training Program (ITTP) or equivalent; OR a two‑year AAS technical degree in instrumentation, electronics, computer repair, process control, or related field.
  • Valid State driver’s license with an acceptable MVR record.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces, outdoors, and in changing temperatures.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, environmental regulations, and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Access, Visual Basic, and basic programming.
  • Must successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen, background check, and random drug testing thereafter.
  • Must obtain a TWIC and access to all facility pipeline assets.
