Responsible for back-office activities for capital markets trades, specifically those related to derivatives and debt. Specific functions vary by product but the general responsibilities for staff in this area may include the following: trade processing, confirmation and settlement; collateral management; processing of incoming/outgoing wire activity; tracking and resolution of trade fails; and reconciliation and validation of trade data. Serve as point of contact with external vendors and manage external clearing and custodial relationships. Maintain internal controls across the full trade life cycle. Partner with technology groups to identify workflow efficiency opportunities and enhance straight through processing. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet multiple schedules and goals, simultaneously. Provides leadership and guidance to subordinates at the professional level within the latitude of established company policies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization's operation. Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Acts as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical and operational problems. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities. Manages the coordination of the activities of a section or department. Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches. College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred. Typically has 8-10 years related experience and 1-2 years management experience.
The Debt & Derivative Operations Team is responsible for trade confirmation, settlement, reporting and reconcilement of activity. They work closely with trading desks, back-office teams, vendors, finance, treasury ops and risk & controls to ensure successful execution and ongoing support of I&CM trading activity and new initiatives.
In this role, you will be managing a team of up to 9 direct reports responsible for back-office support of capital markets activity. You will be expected to have an in-depth understanding of products, processes, systems and controls to ensure the team is operating efficiently, to improve processes and to enhance controls.
You will be leading a team that is integral to the support of capital markets activity and will:
Collaborate with internal and external business partners including trading desks, counterparties, and vendors
Enhance our process to be more automated and controlled
Manage team performance
Lead new initiatives
Manage audits
College Degree or equivalent preferred
Typically has 8-10 years of related experience with 1-2 years of supervisory/management experience
In depth understanding of Trading systems
Knowledge of fixed income investments and capital markets.
Strong communications, leadership and collaboration skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain partner relationships at all levels.
High level of energy, creativity, flexibility, and dedication
Ability to communicate and work with diverse groups (both internal and external).
Ability to provide both positive and constructive feedback
Ability to proactively manage team performance
Ability to develop mutually beneficial relationships inside and outside of the I&CM division.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $118,000 - $178,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
