McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking an I&C Programmer II to design and implement instrumentation and control systems for water and wastewater projects.

You will program PLCs, SCADA, and HMI software, review specs, and support start‑up and commissioning in collaboration with project teams and clients. The role requires a strong background in PLC/SCADA, networking, and I&C drawings, with 5+ years of hands-on experience.

Qualifikationen

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related experience with PLC and SCADA software, networking, and system commissioning.
• Proficient troubleshooting problems in operational situations is preferred.
• Working knowledge of system networking, I&C Drawings (loops, cabinet layout/wiring) and P&ID drawings.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Overview

The I&C Programmer II is responsible for utilizing and programing PLC control systems, SCADA Systems, and Human Machine Interface software to effectively design and implement instrumentation and control systems for water/wastewater projects. The I&C Programmer II works closely with Project Managers, the project team, and clients to implement solutions.

During Your Workday, You Will

• Utilize and program PLC control systems, SCADA Systems, and Human Machine Interface software to effectively design and implement instrumentation and control systems for water/wastewater projects.
• Review specifications and drawings, write control system descriptions, and perform start up and commissioning activities with minimal input from other personnel.
• Understand and implement communications systems such as Ethernet based local area networks and wireless radio systems.
• Create instrument material take-offs from drawings.
• Work closely with Project Managers, project team, and clients to implement solutions.

What You’ll Need

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related experience with PLC and SCADA software, networking, and system commissioning.

• Requires maintaining a level of precision and accuracy appropriate to the project demands.
• Requires excellent communication, and the ability to take and understand directives from Project Managers, Contractors, and Regulators.
• The ability to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying project demands is required.
• Candidates are required to have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record as determined by McKim & Creed.
• Candidates are required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
