As an I&C Manufacturing Engineer with the Westinghouse Parts Business, you will support our WPB Fulfillment team in New Stanton, PA. The site focuses on projects to improve plant safety and reliability by providing Instrumentation and Control (I&C), mechanical, and electro-mechanical products and services. Your role will focus on the production of I&C and electro-mechanical assemblies.

You will report to the Manager of I&C and Electrical Products and be based at the New Stanton facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to the production floor, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and workflows to identify improvements. Develop and implement process enhancements to boost productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality.
  • Design, select, and oversee installation of new manufacturing equipment, ensuring efficient operation and maintenance.
  • Address obsolescence issues through redesign using current manufacturing technology.
  • Manage quality issues related to purchased and manufactured parts.
  • Prepare and review technical packages, including drawings, specifications, and procurement requirements.
  • Contribute technical input during proposals.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including quality engineering, supply chain, marketing, customer service, and suppliers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
  • 0-4 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools.
  • Experience with SAP, especially in production, requisitioning, and material data management.
  • Experience writing technical requirements for procurement and developing specifications.
