Job summary

Zachry Engineering Corporation (ZEC) in Omaha, NE seeks an I&C Engineer III to advance instrumentation and control design for power generation, industrial, and energy projects. You will develop instrument data sheets, loop diagrams, I/O lists, and control narratives, while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and supporting startup and commissioning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline from an accredited university.
5-10+ years of instrumentation and controls engineering experience.
Strong understanding of instrumentation design, control systems engineering, and industrial automation.
Experience with DCS and/or PLC-based control systems.
Knowledge of process instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement technologies.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and perform instrumentation and controls engineering assignments requiring independent judgment and application of engineering principles.
Develop and review instrumentation deliverables: Instrument Indexes, Data Sheets, Loop Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Location Plans, and Specifications.
Develop control system design deliverables: I/O Lists, Cause & Effect Matrices, Control Narratives, and Logic Diagrams.
Support design and implementation of DCS, PLC, and HMI systems; coordinate with multiple disciplines.
Travel for client meetings, site investigations, and commissioning support.
