Job summary

SHINE Technologies, LLC is seeking an I&C Engineer to assist with the design, development, procurement, construction, installation, and testing of control systems for our new medical isotope production facility. A hybrid work arrangement will be considered, with a base salary of $83,000–$155,250 per year and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Knowledge of I&C systems, hardware, software, and plant start-ups.
• Ability to critically evaluate information and ask questions when things don’t make sense.
• Experience with vendor design packages and controls projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead interfaces between stakeholders and the I&C team.
• Provide input on the schedule tasks for length and effort required to create design products.
• Drive decisions on vendor requests, changes, and updates to equipment and programming.
• Become the responsible engineer for a subset of the I&C equipment, guiding it through the design, procurement and construction process while ensuring it meets design requirements.
• Oversee the development of digital and analog control systems, including DCS, PLC, and DAQ, by reviewing vendor deliverables.
• Work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines to select instruments to measure process variables.
• Coordinate with the Auxiliary Systems Group to manage power distribution to I&C equipment.
• Prepare instrument specs, calculations, and test plans for design, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Design instrument cable routing, conduit and raceway layouts, installation drawings, and loop diagrams.
