Job summary

Cindavi in Madison, WI seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a combined I&C and electrical team focused on control systems, instruments, and power supply design for medical isotope production facilities.

You will mentor engineers, align software and electrical efforts, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, innovative environment while collaborating across sites to standardize technology platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Electrical/Computer Engineering preferred).
• 7–10+ years in engineering with progression into a management role.
• Strong electrical engineering skills in power distribution or instrumentation and controls, plus PLC programming familiarity.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational synergy.
• Continuous improvement mindset and process evaluation expertise.
• Experience in automation within medical instruments, radiopharma, or nuclear industries preferred.
• Experience with PLC programming and embedded C is highly preferred.
• Experience with machine design and building factories or automation systems is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, and lead a team of I&C and electrical engineers focused on controls, instruments, and power supply design.
• Mentor engineers in technology, decision making, and ownership of I&C equipment.
• Lead integration of software and electrical teams to produce cohesive outputs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional managers to establish common technology standards and platforms for controls.
• Oversee development of digital and analog control systems (DCS, PAC/PLC, DAQ).
• Participate in design reviews, releases, and prioritize troubleshooting efforts.
• Ensure proper documentation release and coordinate with build/test teams for installation and commissioning.
