Job summary

Cindavi on Fitchburg campus seeks an Instruments & Controls / Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a newly integrated software and electrical engineering team. You will oversee design, development, procurement, and testing of systems powering and controlling medical isotope production facilities.

Role emphasizes establishing common technology platforms, mentoring a high-skilled team, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Computer preferred).
• 7–10+ years in engineering with progression to management.
• Strong electrical engineering competence in power distribution or instrumentation and controls.
• Experience with PLC programming and embedded C highly preferred.
• Automation experience in medical instruments, radiopharma, or nuclear industries preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, and lead a team of I&C and electrical engineers focused on control systems, instruments, and power supply design.
• Mentor engineers in technology, decision making, and ownership of I&C equipment.
• Lead integration of software and electrical teams to function cohesively.
• Collaborate to establish common technology standards and platforms for controls.
• Oversee development of digital and analog control systems (DCS, PAC/PLC, DAQ).
• Participate in design reviews and releases; prioritize troubleshooting.
• Ensure proper release documentation and support installation and commissioning.
