Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Instrument and Controls Designer in Tempe, AZ. You will develop P&ID diagrams per ANSI/ISA S5.1 and design panels, layouts, and wiring diagrams while managing schedules and reporting progress. A strong communicator with 5+ years of I&C design experience is ideal.

Hybrid work model applies, with opportunities to collaborate onsite and remotely on advanced facilities projects for diverse clients. AAS degree and technical software skills are required.

We're looking for an Instrument and Controls Designer in (Tempe, AZ) who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects focused on designing state of the art structure within Advanced Facilities. You’ll be accountable for developing Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology, and panel design including panel layout and wiring diagrams. You’ll also manage demanding project schedules, prepare accurate reports, and demonstrate communication skills.

Here's what you'll need

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Associate of Applied Science Degree
• At Least 5 years of I&C Design Experience
• Experience using Revit and Autocad

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Proficient in using Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Access, Outlook and Excel and project delivery and schedule management software tools.
• Experience in Semi-conductor industrial or general industrial facilities
• Experience in various aspects of industrial automation, instrumentation, electrical power and building automation system design
• Revit Experience
• Conduit and cable tray routing experience

The base salary range for this position is $69,300.00 to $121,200.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
