Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Instrument and Controls Designer who will drive the development of P&IDs following ANSI/ISA S5.1 and panel layouts for data centers, semiconductor, and other manufacturing facilities.

You'll work in global multidisciplinary teams, manage schedules, and produce 3D models and 2D drawings for control systems while collaborating across offices and remote locations to deliver world-class designs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of BIM design experience.
• Experience using BIM360, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

We're looking for an Instrument and Controls Designer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You’ll be accountable for developing Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology, and panel design including panel layout and wiring diagrams. You’ll also manage demanding project schedules, prepare accurate reports, and demonstrate communication skills.

Here’s what you’ll need

Must have

• 2+ years of BIM design experience
• Experience using BIM360, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have

• Associates Degree in Drafting or Engineering Technology
• Experience designing data center, semiconductor, and other industrial facilities
• Experience in instrumentation and controls
• Familiarity with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Familiarity with controls, electrical panels and cable tray
• Familiarity with instrument placement

The base salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $110,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
