Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking an experienced I-9 Auditor to conduct detailed reviews of employee Form I-9 documentation and ensure compliance with federal employment eligibility requirements. The role requires independence to identify errors and remediation steps.

You will audit Sections 1–3, resolve discrepancies, work with HR, and support E-Verify processes in a deadline-driven 3-month engagement. Strong attention to detail and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• I-9 auditing experience is required.
• Minimum 2 years of HR compliance experience.
• Hands-on experience auditing Form I-9s.
• Experience completing I-9 remediation/corrections.
• Strong knowledge of Form I-9 requirements and E-Verify.
• Attention to detail, confidentiality, and organization.
• Ability to manage a 3-month project with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits of Form I-9s for accuracy and compliance.
• Review Sections 1, 2, and 3 information and supporting documentation.
• Identify missing information, discrepancies, and remediation needs.
• Perform I-9 remediation and corrections per requirements.
• Resolve discrepancies identified during the audit with HR and stakeholders.
• Support employment eligibility verification and E-Verify processes as applicable.
• Maintain audit records and handle confidential information.
• Escalate complex issues appropriately and meet deadlines.
