Job summary

Walser Automotive Group in Minnesota is hiring a lube/maintenance technician to perform routine service tasks and PDIs in our on-site shops. You will change oil, replace air filters, inspect tires and brakes, and assist with general maintenance while upholding Walser’s core values.

The role requires reliability, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and availability to work with a partner. Prior oil change experience or automotive training is preferred, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods.
• Prior oil changes experience and/or automotive schooling or training preferred.
• Punctual and reliable; able to work well with a partner.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles strongly preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, air filter replacement, fluid changes, tire inspection and repairs, bulb replacement, and lubrication of vehicle components.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and assist with other light maintenance duties in dealership service departments.

Compensation: $19.30/hour + incentives!

What You’ll Do:

• Completes the following maintenance:
• Change oil and filter
• Replace air filters
• Fluid changes
• Tire inspection and repairs
• Bulbs
• Lubrication of the chassis, body, front end, and drive train
• Belt inspection and replacement
• Hose inspection, and the visual inspection of other parts on the vehicle
• Brake inspection, adjustment, and cleaning
• Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs)
• Other light maintenance
• Utilization of Truvideo/Estimate Tool
• Must wear safety eyewear at all times when in dealership service departments
• Must wear hard-toed shoes and slip resistant footwear in when in dealership service departments
• All other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned

What You Bring:

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Prior experience performing oil changes and/or automotive school or training strongly preferred
