Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company is seeking a full-time manufacturing operator in Columbus, NE. Responsibilities include equipment operation, visual inspections, basic troubleshooting, changeovers, and line clearance to meet production targets. Cross-training and maintaining GMP standards are required.

On-site role with 12-hour day shifts. Preferred candidates hold a high school diploma/GED and have at least two years of manufacturing experience; MES experience is a plus.

• Two years of manufacturing experience required or equivalent.
• Experience with MES is preferred.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to maximize effectiveness and optimize task methods.

• Conduct changeovers, line clearance, and cleaning of equipment.
• Achieve production rate and quality goals on assigned equipment.
• Facilitate continuous operation through breaks and cross-train as needed.

Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities/Deberes/Responsabilidades:

• Work as one of a team for maximum effectiveness and optimal task methods, which includes product inspection, operating equipment, raw material and finished goods movements and clean room area and equipment cleaning / sanitizing


• Perform visual inspections


• Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment


• Perform changeovers, line clearance and cleaning


• Achieve production rate and quality goals on assigned equipment


• Facilitate continuous operation of the equipment through breaks


• Perform rework


• Cross train where needed within the department to support the business


• Maintina all quality and GMP standards


• Perform needed SAP data entries


• May require the use of 10x microscope, calipers, and/or other miscellaneous gauges


• Participate on blitz teams as assigned


• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business

Education/Educación:

• High School diploma/GED preferred


• In lieu of High School diploma/GED, two years manufacturing experience is required
