The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Member of Technical Staff in Flight Mechanics to perform trajectory design and optimization for advanced space systems. You will collaborate with defense, intelligence, and civil customers to deliver high-quality, technically rigorous solutions.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or PhD in a related field, have programming skills (C/C++, Python, Fortran, MATLAB), and can obtain/maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related discipline (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months).
• Ph.D. in a related field strongly preferred for Senior level positions.
• Proficiency in programming languages: C, C++, Python, Fortran, MATLAB.
• Experience with space mission analysis, aerodynamics, trajectory optimization, or related areas.

Responsabilidades

• Trajectory design and optimization for hypersonic/high-speed systems and missiles.
• Missile system and missile defense engagement simulation and analysis.
• Multi-domain mission design across orbital and atmospheric regimes.
• Development of new capabilities using optimal control and flight mechanics.
