Job summary

CFD Research Corporation seeks a Test Engineer to lead system integration and test activities for hypersonic test vehicles and subsystems in Crane, IN. You will plan, develop procedures, schedule, and execute system-level, flight, ground, and simulation tests, coordinating with multiple teams to ensure readiness and mitigate risks.

The role requires a DoD SECRET clearance, a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree (or equivalent experience), and hands-on hardware verification and integration

Qualifications

• US Citizen with active DoD SECRET clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience developing and executing detailed test procedures for aerospace/defense systems.
• Ability to create, track, and close discrepancy reports.
• Familiarity with telemetry checkout equipment and ground support operations.
• Strong hands-on hardware verification and integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop procedures, schedule, and execute system-level, flight, ground, and simulation tests.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and external stakeholders to ensure test readiness.
• Capture and analyze results; document integration processes; mitigate technical, safety and schedule risks.
• Manage hardware and software integration and ensure adherence to test standards and protocols.
