Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a trajectory analyst for the Strategic Deterrent Systems Flight Systems Futures program. You will focus on hypersonic re-entry trajectories and payload generation to support test, development and analysis.

The role requires a US citizen with an active Secret clearance and a STEM degree with 5+ years of related experience (or 3 years with a Master’s, 1 year with a PhD). Proficiency in C++, MATLAB, and Python is expected, with exposure to TAOS, AFSIM or STK a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 5 years related experience; Master’s with 3 years or PhD with 1 year.
• Clearance: Must be a US citizen with active Secret clearance at time of application.
• Experience with modeling, simulation and analysis of Aerospace Vehicles, including hypersonic platforms.

Responsibilities

• Focus on trajectory analysis and generation for hypersonic systems to support test, development and analysis.
• Generate 6-DoF trajectories for hypersonic platforms and conduct trajectory analyses for boost phase ascent.
• Demonstrate ability to analyze and visualize data and document findings clearly.
