Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. seeks a technical team lead in the Hypersonic Structures department. You will oversee on-site test execution, define test requirements, and deliver post-test analyses and sponsor-ready reports with a focus on aerothermal testing at national facilities.

Ideal candidates have five or more years of relevant experience, strong MATLAB/Python proficiency, and a track record leading engineers. Active security clearance is a plus and travel is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 5+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 7+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of engineers (2-4) and supervise work across multiple test campaigns
• Plan, resource, and execute full-lifecycle aerothermal tests across national facilities
• Coordinate test design, instrumentation, and multiphysics analyses with cross-functional groups
• Own post-test data reduction, material characterization, and sponsor-facing reporting
• Engage with sponsors, support business development and proposal activities
