Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a GNC Engineer in Seal Beach, CA to design, implement, and verify guidance, navigation and control algorithms for hypersonic and autonomous platforms.

The role requires experience with MATLAB/Simulink models, C/C++ prototypes, and flight software integration with avionics and testbeds. On-site work in Seal Beach with active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of related work experience in aerospace/defense.
• Experience with GN&C algorithms and spacecraft guidance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 6 DOF dynamics simulations.
• Implement GN&C flight software (MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++).
• Apply astrodynamics and flight mechanics to mission design.
• Support re-entry guidance and flight control functions.
• Develop guidance laws and autonomy tools for space operations.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, avionics, and test teams.
• Produce test procedures and artifacts for rapid iteration.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement reusable tools.
