Meta is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to join the ENS Foundation NetOps team. You will support hyperscale data center cabling, fiber connectivity, and IP networking to enable field repair services and ensure operational reliability across a global network.

You will collaborate with internal teams and vendors, drive improvements, and help scale operations. This role emphasizes problem-solving, data-driven decisions, and cross-site leadership to ensure service quality.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree completed prior to joining Meta.
4+ years operating, deploying and designing large-scale network/optical/physical layer infrastructure.
4+ years of network ops experience with large-scale service provider, data center or enterprise networks.
Hands-on with optical/network equipment and associated test gear.
Strong communication with hardware vendors, service providers, and colocation vendors globally.
Experience trouble-shooting, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional projects.
Ability to guide external vendors to direct repair actions.
Knowledge of Enterprise & Service Provider network hardware platforms and architectures (Cisco, Juniper).
Knowledge of data center design: rack elevations, cabling, fiber optics, power/cooling.
Experience with hardware platforms: Ciena, Infinera, Nokia, Arista, Cisco WDM.
Ability to move programs from inception to delivery with measurable impact.

Data Measurement: define metrics to track escalation issues, faults, capacity, and vendor performance.
Communication: provide clear updates on goals, progress, and outcomes.
Travel: travel up to 25% may be required.
