Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Lead to direct the buildout, startup, and handover of mechanical systems for our high-performance data centers. You will lead commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and turnover of cooling, air handling, and fluid distribution systems to support AI supercomputing infrastructure.

You will manage a team of commissioning technicians and coordinate with EPCs, OEMs, and design engineers to ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality

Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on mechanical commissioning in data centers or mission-critical environments.
3+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Deep expertise in large-scale cooling systems (chillers, cooling towers, CRAC/CRAH units, precision air handling).
Familiar with commissioning test equipment (manometers, anemometers, flow meters, calibrators).
Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, ASME, LEED, Uptime Institute).
Ability to read, interpret, and redline mechanical drawings and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute all mechanical commissioning activities for HVAC systems and associated equipment in hyperscale data centers.
Direct testing, airflow verification, system balancing, and turnover to operations.
Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of complex mechanical and control issues during commissioning.
Develop and approve commissioning test procedures and documentation per project specs.
