Job summary

PLANIT Group seeks a Field Engineer in Bowling Green, OH for a long-term contract. The role requires overseeing telecom designs, managing change, and ensuring quality in a rigorous construction environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction, preferably with data centers or structured cabling. Must have OSHA 30-Hour Certification and proficiency in relevant software including Bluebeam and MS Office. This position is 100% onsite.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the construction industry as a Field Engineer or similar.
• Experience with large structured cabling installations or data center construction projects.
• Proficiency with testing equipment data and standard telecom installation methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead validation of telecom and structured cabling designs.
• Identify scope impacts and communicate with stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain electronic tracking dashboards.
• Support site-wide QA/QC measures and validate test results.
• Participate in RFP/RFI reviews and evaluate bid packages.
• Maintain up-to-date redline drawing sets.
• Lead generation of customer-ready closeout packages.
