Job summary

MasTec is seeking a Data Center Structured Cabling Technician to install, terminate, test, and maintain copper and fiber cabling in hyperscale data centers. You will follow BICSI/ANSI/TIA standards, read blueprints, and ensure quality and safety in every deployment.

You should have 2–5 years of cabling experience, Cat6/Cat6A and fiber installs, and be familiar with Fluke testing equipment. OSHA 10/30 and related certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of structured cabling experience.
• Experience with Cat6/Cat6A and fiber optic installations.
• Ability to read construction drawings/blueprints.
• Familiarity with Fluke testing equipment.
• BICSI Installer 1 or 2 and OSHA 10/30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and maintain copper and fiber structured cabling in data centers.
• Ensure installations comply with BICSI, ANSI/TIA, and customer specs.
• Read blueprints, schedules, and rack elevations; document and redline drawings.
• Install and label patch panels, cabinets, cable managers, and outlets.
• Test copper cabling with Fluke equipment and assist fiber testing.
• Follow safety procedures (OSHA, BICSI, site rules) and quality standards.
