Role Overview:Startech is hiring approximately experienced Structured Cabling Technicians to join our current hyperscale data center build. This is a hands-on installer role for candidates with a full lead-installer skill set — capable of executing every phase of the install from cable reel setup through final dressing, with minimal supervision. - Execute overhead cable pulls through ladder rack, cable tray, sleeves, and pass-throughs; manage bend radius, pulling tension, and slack loops per manufacturer spec.
- Operate scissor lifts and rolling scaffolds safely at 12–15 ft ceiling heights; complete overhead dressing and cable management with proper Velcro and hook-and-loop strapping.
- Perform patch and label work on both cable ends — MPO and LC termination, connector cleaning (Sticklers, US Conec, Fluke Quick Clean), inspection, and full labeling to project spec.
- Handle Cat6 / Cat6A UTP Ethernet installations including cable pulls, jack termination, and Cat6/6A certification hand-off.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on structured cabling experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
- Certified for scissor lift and aerial lift operation (OSHA-compliant training documentation required).

- Comfortable using test equipment for basic continuity checks (VFL, OLTS).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
