The Boring Company is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee planning and potential construction/operation of a Texas Hyperloop between Austin and San Antonio. You will lead the end-to-end operational plan from pre-launch to steady-state operations, managing a team of operators and technicians while driving improvements for efficiency and safety.
You will work with civil servants, elected officials, and contractors to ensure compliance and delivery of features as the system scales.
The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more, with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.
The Boring Company is evaluating a simple, precursor Hyperloop tunnel between Austin - San Antonio capable of speeds greater than 200 mph. Due to traffic congestion, that journey currently takes up to 2.5 hours. The Boring Company can reduce it to a consistent less than 30 minutes.
