Job summary

Jbt-Marel is seeking a Senior Onsite Field Technician to monitor, train, and guide AGV systems during the HyperCare phase of deployments. You will document system performance, assist in recovery efforts, and coordinate readiness with the customer through the shift cycles.

The role requires travel to customer sites, technical diagnostics, and collaboration with the HyperCare team to ensure a smooth transition to ongoing support. Strong electronics background is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent.
• 3–5 years experience with in-depth technical knowledge of AGV product lines.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document system performance onsite.
• Provide training to onsite AGV techs on recovery procedures.
• Document issues unresolved for Senior field tech onsite during business hours.
• Oversee customer readiness to take over support after HyperCare.

This position is responsible for the following:ResponsibilitiesMonitor and document the performance of systems while onsiteProvide training and guidance to onsite customer AGV techs on how to recover systems, and assist in recovering the systems based on errors receivedDocument issues that cannot be resolved for Senior field tech onsite during business hoursProvide oversight of the customer on shift to determine their readiness to take over system support once the agreed upon HyperCare phase has been completedAssist HyperCare lead in documenting readiness and gaps on customer scorecardWork closely with the full-time On-site Senior Technician to assist in troubleshooting and resolving AGV system issues.Travel and Shift CoverageThe position requires travel to the customer location in support of the HypeCare phase of the deployment/installation project. Duration is 12 consecutive days onsite. Work schedule at site begins Monday week 1 ending Friday EOD week 2, inclusive of the middle Saturday & Sunday.Support for second or third shift.For every 4 consecutive weeks (160 work hours), following the 12-day HyperCare onsite support (96 hours + 8 hours travel), this position will have the immediate 40 business hours off. Week 4 will be remote support completing any post HyperCare documentation, preparing for upcoming HyperCare projects by reviewing project scope and status, and assisting in additional activities within the Customer Care team.The incumbent must stay current with the latest designs, features and equipment that JBT Automated Systems offers. The organization's matrix environment requires tact, diplomacy and strong prioritization skills to accomplish the numerous, often conflicting, daily support requirements.The incumbent needs to be able to respond to emergency situations which may require frequent schedule changes/adjustments based on the customer’s needs with minimal time to prepare.The incumbent will be responsible to self-manage his/her day-today activities and will report locally to the HyperCare leadQUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Three to five years experience and in-depth technical knowledge of AGV product lines. Familiarity with electronic diagnostic and repair tools such as multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering iron and basic electronics hand-tools.Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
