Position Summary

The Hyperbaric Tech Supervisor is the designated Safety Officer of the Hyperbaric program as required by NFPA and TJC. The Hyperbaric Tech Supervisor is responsible for the overall safe operation of the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) program on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. They utilize critical‑thinking skills to coordinate and ensure that safe quality care is being provided to patients. The supervisor maintains best practices by monitoring compliance through the performance‑improvement process and serves as a resource to guide, educate and orient the department in collaboration with other teams. The role also includes willingness to provide direct patient care and other duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of an Allied Health Program.

Experience

1–3 years of relevant experience.

License & Certification

• Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (Florida) or Paramedic (Florida)
• Certified Hyperbaric Technician (CHT) must be obtained within 1 year of hire
• BLS/CPR (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• PALS (American Heart Association)
• Safety Director Training Certificate completed within 90 days of hire
