Job summary

Rome Health is seeking a Hyperbaric and Safety Technician (LPN) to join our Wound Care Center. This role focuses on safe HBO therapy delivery, patient education, and maintaining a secure clinical environment.

The ideal candidate holds an NY LPN license, HBO safety training, and an introductory Hyperbaric Medicine course, with a commitment to patient safety and high-quality wound care. On-site role with a collaborative wound care team.

Qualifications

• Current New York State LPN license is required.
• Completion of an HBO Safety Course (pre- or post-hire).
• Completion of an introductory Hyperbaric Medicine course.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor hyperbaric chambers and related oxygen systems during HBO treatments.
• Prepare, educate, and orient patients for hyperbaric therapy and safe transfers.
• Monitor patients during treatment and adjust as needed for safety and effectiveness.
• Document HBO treatments, wound care visits, and patient responses.
• Maintain hyperbaric equipment, supplies, and treatment areas to safety standards.
• Inspect equipment to ensure suitability for hyperbaric use and coordinate repairs.
• Lead the department's hyperbaric and safety program, including drills and training.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 99 and other safety standards.
• Assist with insurance verification for HBO and other wound care treatments.
• Collaborate with providers and nurses to support quality patient care.
