Job summary

University Health Partners of Hawai'i is seeking a Patient Care Technician Trainee to support the Hyperbaric Treatment and Wound Care Center (HTC). You will collaborate with providers to facilitate patient care, assist during evaluations, prepare medical charts, and help set up the chamber.

Education to patients and families is part of the role, with on-call duties and training requirements. The trainee will earn $18/hr with a path to a Patient Care Technician I after completing the Didactic

Qualifications

• High school graduate/equivalent or higher.
• Credentialled in a clinical specialty or currently in training: MA/NA/CNA/DMT/EMT/RN/PA/RT/MICT/CCRN/APRN, etc.
• Current Certification for BLS from American Heart Association (Required within 90 days).
• Enrollment in a Didactic/Clinical Care Provider Course as provided by HTC or equivalent Hyperbaric facility.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with providers to facilitate patient care in HTC.
• Assists during evaluation of patients and prepares medical charts.
• Prepares hyperbaric chamber and ensures patient comfort and orientation.
• Provides education to patients and families.
• Maintains credentials and participates in HTC training and on-call schedule.
