Job summary

The Patient Care Technician Trainee role at Kuakini Medical Center supports the Hyperbaric Treatment and Wound Care Center by coordinating patient care with providers and preparing charts and chambers. You will assist during patient evaluations, provide education to patients and families, and participate in ongoing HTC training and safety drills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Enrollment in HTC Didactic/Clinical Care Provider Course is required to advance.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification within 90 days.
• Two-level or higher clinical training pathway with required steps.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with HTC providers to facilitate patient care and coordinate treatment.
• Assist during evaluation of patients and prepare medical charts.
• Prepare hyperbaric chamber and ensure patient comfort and orientation.
• Maintain credentials, participate in HTC training and safety drills.
• Be available for on-call shifts and respond within 30 minutes.
