Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis), periodontal scaling, and root planning.
• Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal charting.
• Take and process dental X-rays and digital scans.
• Apply sealants, fluoride, and desensitizing agents.
• Review and update medical histories and patient records.
• Collaborate with the dentist on treatment planning.
• Document clinical findings accurately in patient management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
• Maintain strict adherence to OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Clean, sterilize, and prepare instruments and treatment rooms.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Preventive Treatment

• Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis), periodontal scaling, and root planning

Patient Education

• Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and long-term oral hygiene habits
