Job summary

Barchemy LLC is seeking a Hygiene worker in Donora, PA to join our manufacturing sanitation team. You will clean and sanitize food, beverage, and drug processing areas to meet Quality Control and FDA standards while following company policies.

You will lift and move 20–80 lb items, operate forklifts when needed, wear provided protective gear, and help maintain strict food safety practices across shifts. This role is full-time and in-person at our facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in sanitation in food/beverage/drug production environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize processing plants to meet quality control and bacterial standards.
• Transport heavy equipment and assist in moving items up to 80 lb.
• Wear employer-provided protective gear including gloves, face shields, aprons, boots.
• Exposure to chemical cleaning solutions with protective gear.
• Perform tasks while standing, lifting, crouching for long periods.
• Follow safety and company policies and maintain food safety responsibilities.

The Hygiene worker is a member of a cleaning crew whose duties are to clean and sanitize food, beverage, and/or drug processing plants, which are operated by the employer's customers, to meet Quality Control and Bacterial Standards imposed by the customer and applicable governmental agencies, such as the FDA.

Responsibilities

• Frequently lift/move hoses, equipment, chemical containers weighing 20-80 lbs. throughout each and every work shift
• Assist in transporting heavy equipment with forklifts or other devices.
• Wear employer-specified protective gear, including three pairs of gloves, face/eye shields, aprons, boots, etc. (some of which to be supplied by employer).
• Exposure to chemical cleaning solution (with protective gear)
• Perform varying tasks while standing, lifting, crouching, etc. during long periods of time.
• Perform all tasks safely and in a manner that will not create or pose a direct threat to the health and/or safety of the sanitation worker or any other person.
• Comply with all company policies applicable to his or her position (safety, code of ethics, policies and procedures)
• This position is responsible for Food Safety and Quality
