Job summary

GEA Group is seeking an Operations Intern to support the operations team with project management, data analysis, and process improvements. The role involves collaborating with multiple departments to boost efficiency and meet business goals in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is enrolled in an engineering or trade program, with strong analytical and communication skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a 2-year associate’s or 4-year bachelor’s program in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering.
  • OR currently enrolled in a trade school program such as Mechatronics, Welding, Machining, Electrical Technology, etc.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to operational excellence in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Project Management: Assist in planning, executing, and closing projects with clear plans and deadlines.
  • Data Analysis: Collect time studies, analyze data, and identify trends for improvements.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate processes and suggest efficiency/cost-reduction enhancements.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on operational performance with key metrics.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to support operational initiatives.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle scheduling, documentation, and communications.
