Dental Care Alliance in Burke, VA is seeking a Hygiene Pathway - PSR trainee who has finished hygiene school or is awaiting licensure. You will support the office and assist the professional staff while waiting for a state license, contributing to preventive care and patient comfort.

The role emphasizes team-based care, patient education, and exposure to modern dental technology in a supportive environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Radiology certification (if applicable).
• CPR certification preferred but can be obtained upon hiring.
• Currently in Hygiene school and expects to graduate within the next 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
• Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress.
• Update patient health history and chart treatment progress.
• Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
• Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems.
• Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with HIPAA & OSHA.

Position Overview:

Hygiene Pathway - PSR is for anyone that has finished hygiene school and is waiting for a license or is currently in hygiene school and expects to graduate within the next 6 months. You will be an integral part of our care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment while waiting for your active state Hygiene license.
