Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry in the Cary-Apex area is seeking a Full-Time Hygiene Assistant to support the hygienist, assist with radiographs, manage patient charts and treatment plans, and help ensure smooth operations across the practice. The role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and excellent patient communication.

Qualified candidates will have CDA or radiology certification, CPR within 30 days of hire, and familiarity with Denticon software.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1–3 years of Dental Assistant experience.
• CDA certification or radiology certification per NC board.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire or already certified.

Responsibilities

• Assist the hygienist in providing dental treatment.
• Support hygienists with X-rays.
• Prepare and present treatment plans to patients.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage obstacles.
• Maintain dental instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Record patient health histories.
• Assist with patient management during procedures.
• Complete instrument cleaning and room sterilization.
• Prepare materials and charting for treatments.
• Occasionally travel to other locations as needed.

Hygiene Assistant KEY COMPETENCIES

• Assists the hygienist in providing dental treatment
• Supports hygienists with xrays
• Functions as a treatment coordinator and prepares and assists presenting treatment plan to patients
• Schedules patient appointment to accommodate potential obstacles
• Maintains dental/hygiene instruments, supplies and equipment

• Completes Instrument cleaning & sterilization and post-op sanitization of treatment rooms
