Job summary

North American Dental Group’s Corner Dental - Sylvania, OH is seeking a full-time Hygiene Assistant to join a supportive practice. You’ll prepare patients for treatment, assist the hygienist/dentist in procedures, and maintain high standards of care while working 8am‑5pm, Monday to Friday.

You’ll need a Dental Assisting Certification or on-the-job training, radiography certification, and CPR. New grads welcome; benefits include 401(k) and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or on-the-job training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the dental hygienist to prepare the room, seat patients, and take proper documentation of the patients visit.
• Ability to record and review patients' health history, make chart entries under the direction of the Doctor or hygienist, and assures completion of all necessary forms and signatures needed.
• Educate patients on their treatment plans as well as maintaining their oral health.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment possessing excellent interpersonal skills such as establishing positive relationships with our team and patients.
• Ability to communicate professionally both orally and in writing with a service-oriented approach.

Your Work Schedule

Monday‑Friday: 8am‑5pm

Your Role as a Hygiene Assistant

As a Hygiene Assistant, you'll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You'll prepare patients for treatment, assist the hygienist/dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the dental hygienist to prepare the room, seat patients, and take proper documentation of the patients visit
